I don't peep Diddy on his blog too often, but this one caught my eye. Diddy pushes his new product and auditions to be the new Black Bond, all in one project, check it out.
Diddy has a new fragance out called, I Am King. It is dedicated to all REAL men out there who handle their business and responsibilities. Also, to the honorable Black leaders of our past and present, like the late Martin Luther King Jr and current President elect Barack Obama. This video depicts a mini movie that advertises the fragrance. However, Diddy claims that this is also his audition tape to be the next James Bond. He feels with a Black President in office, that it is time for a Black Bond too. Which explains the reason why the movie features Diddy in a variety of Bond like situations. The fragrance is available only at Macy's.
I think this movie is okay but nothing that gets me all excited about the product. I mean, it is basically 5 minutes of Diddy getting his wanna be Bond on. He doesn't look bad in the role, but note that there is no dialogue going on. Just narration and some bootleg Bond movie music. So I don't know if this is a sufficient audition tape either. Overall, I think he needs to construct another commercial for the cologne. And why the hell is it exclusive to Macy's?! Ya'll know n--ggas do not shop there, way too costly and just not our scene. So how is he catering to our "kings" if they are outside the market? Diddy can do better than this, seriously. I'm a little disappointed, though I don't know why. All that fool does these days is grand stand, so this should have been what I expected. I think Diddy just has too much time on his hands to be honest. Only he could come up with some ish like this, but it's something different I guess. Any comments, I'd love some feedback. -MinM
