The rappers' had a very quality delivery here. Everything was clear and easy to understand and they kept a good pace with the beat. It's a more low key song and sometimes those lead to alot of mumbling and what not, but that wasn't the case here. The beat is a mid-tempo joint with a very great piano groove going on. Also, the production includes audio excerpts from the hit movie, Player's Club. The verses are not bad lyrically, the rappers painted a decent picture of a struggling minority female. However, I have heard better tracks with this theme. It seems like they were missing something to make it more heartfelt or thought provoking, can't quite put my finger on it. And I am not crazy about the excerpts from the movie. It just seems to be out of place, doesn't blend with the beat too well. Feels like they were just too lazy to comprise a hook. Overall though, this track has some heat to it, I would for sure give it a listen. Another hit for Termanology and Statik Selektah, proof that we do still have some quality rap out there. If your interested in further music from this artist, this track is off an upcoming project called, Substance Abuse, scheduled to hit retailers in 2009. -MinM
