DMX plead guilty today to four felony charges in Arizona. Reports are saying that he made a plea deal. Just what kind of deal you ask? Gotta click to get all the details....
He was allowed to accept a guilty plea on: one count of animal cruelty, one count of theft, and one count of drug possession. In exchange for that, all his new charges for going awol will be dropped. He is to be sentenced next month.
A brief reminder of how we got to this point. X missed a court appearance in Arizona and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Then, he was picked up in Florida at producer Scott Storch's house. After that, he was transferred back to Maricopa County Jail in Arizona. Again his sentencing hearing is next month, specifically, January 30, 2009.
Well I'm glad that he did something smart. Now he will probably get his usual slap on the wrist with a little in house time and some probation. People who have all this money and opportunity that do dumb ish, make me sad. It's a shame that people who want to get on top got to struggle, while the people who are on top do dumb ish like burn dogs or whatever he did to them. Oh well, such is life I guess.
