Lupe Fiasco is giving back to the community by providing coats to the children of Illinois this Winter. The rapper dropped $5,000 to give back to his people in his hometown. He said he wanted to help out those that truly deserve it. In addition to purchasing the coats, the rapper was also on hand to help pass out the coats today as well. If you want more Lupe, you can catch him at the Grammys on February 8, 2009. He is up for four different awards that evening.
I think it's noble of Lupe to do that for the children. The Winters in this area ain't no joke and I feel bad for people who have to be out there in the cold with no coat or anything. I personally wish that I could do more to donate and stuff during the Winter times. They really are serious and being out not properly dressed and what not, has caused a lot of serious health issues for the less fortunate.
