Gym Class Heroes may be heading to the back burner, as frontman Travis McCoy has made a major move. He has officially signed to T-Pain's label, Nappy Boy Entertainment.
While on tour, T-Pain made the first public announcement of the new deal. He brought Travis out on stage and in true traditional format, crowned him with a Nappy Boy chain. Travis embraced the new change and is very happy about signing with Pain. He promises that this coming year will be his year. Footage of this all going down can be seen on Pain's Three Ringz webisodes on YouTube.
In additional news, Pain and Travis are currently on a tour called, "I Am Music." Other artists on tour with them include: Lil Wayne, Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson, and Gorilla Zoe. The tour is hitting up numerous cities throughout the nation including: Atlanta, Charlotte, DC, and more. Tonight's (12/29) show will take place in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Coliseum Complex.
Wow, this is crazy news. I hope that Gym Class doesn't break up or nothing. I respect Travis wanting to branch out on his own, but the group has skills. To throw it all away over something that may not work out, is not a good luck. We know the group has been successful, we don't know how Travis will be received as a solo artist. Overall though, I wish him nothing but the best. Hopefully, Pain does right by him and his solo career turns out okay. Guess only time will tell. Any updates and or singles drop, I'll keep you posted. -MinM

Me too Whit, I cosign with you all the way. A lot of good groups lost it all when a member went solo though. So pray extra hard, lol.
