As reported earlier, William Balfour was officially charged with the killing of Jennifer Hudson's three family members. He made his scheduled hearing yesterday, in Illinois.
Balfour appeared in court, just a day after his arrest. His charges have been revealed and are: three counts of first degree murder and one count of home invasion. His attorney states that the situation has build a bias towards Balfour and that there is no real evidence linking him to the crime. However, prosecuters report that there is evidence: gunshot residue on Balfour's car steering wheel, cell phone records proving he was not home at the time of the incident, and his girlfriend's testimony. She is still stating that he confessed to the murders and that she has seen hime with a gun similar to the murder weapon. Balfour has been denied bail and thus will remain in CPD custody.
This is good news, glad to see that the system is still on top of things. I think Balfour's lawyer should just give it up. The man doesn't look guilty cause of bias, he looks guilty cause he is. I mean really, everything points to him. His own girl is testifying against him, why would she do that for no reason? I think he should fold and admit to what he did. There is no need to prolong the inevitable, I believe that a jury would find him guilty in a heartbeat. And with those charges, he will do life or something damn near close to it. Oh well, guess I don't blame him for fighting it, prison isn't exactly a cake walk. Then again, you do the crime, you deserve the time. And he definitely has something serious coming his way. Stay tuned for further updates. -MinM
it just dont add up. how did he do a triple murder that easily. the neighbors know something because when they were interviewed they said they don't believe he did it and the evidence they have is weak. who did he shoot in the in his car? gunpowder residue but now traces of blood. the girlfriend has an open drug case, so she has motive. Ur innocent until proven guilty.
