Amy Winehouse's home in London has been robbed while she is on vacation. Someone broke into her home and stole some pricey guitars and recording equipment, according to reports. The incident took place, just yesterday (1-29-09) at around 4 am. Neighbors saw the robbers around Amy's home and called the police. The door to her home was found kicked in. The police in Camden are not being too talkative but they have confirmed that there was for sure a robbery. No arrests have been made at this time of course. Amy's reps say that while she is upset, she will be okay. Her most cherished guitar is with her at her vacation spot and the rest of the items, she says can be easily replaced. Guess so, since the Associated Press has her worth valued at about $15 million.
It sucks that this happened to Amy, despite her mess of a reputation, I like her. And I do believe this was legit and not some scandal for her to get drugs. If she's worth $15 million, she can buy her own damn drug factory. No need to stage a home robbery while on vacation. Too much trouble for a 15 minute high. Anyways, I hope they catch and arrest who did it. People work hard for their homes and possessions, they should be able to enjoy them without some jerk getting all five finger happy. -MinM
