Kid Cudi was handcuffed after a verbal altercation with Reebok employees on Friday (2/13) in Arizona at a NBA All-Star Weekend Event. He was attending a Reebok party, as he was scheduled to perform by the company.
The problem was, that he wanted to perform in his Jordans and refused to put on a pair of the company's shoes. So they refused to allow him any luxuries at the party. Eventually, after the altercation reached it's max, Cudi kicked off his Jordans and volunteered to put Reeboks on. The fight was broken up by a Reebok employee who watched what was going on from the sidelines. At some point Cudi ended up outside of the party and was cuffed and questioned by the cops. There is unconfirmed info about some tasering too. No mention of, if the performance ever happened or not.
Ok, so Cudi is stupid. He is not in a position to be acting a fool like this. He still on the come up, so he needs all the love from big name companies he can get. Plus, it's only common sense that if an apparel company is putting money into you, that they gone want you to rock their ish. I don't get the big deal, they wasn't asking him to sell his soul or nothing. All he had to do was put on some funky a** shoes temporarily and this could have all been avoided. Now, he's probably lost an endorsement and some potential ones too. You know stuff like this, sticks to you like glue in the industry. Ninjas better wake up and get they ish together, major opportunities do not come along every day. Kanye West needs to school his boy. Not that he acts too much better, but still. -MinM
