Ice Cube is doing major things on the Hollywood scene right now. He has several film projects under way and a new television program deal. Continue reading for further details.
Apparently, Method Man caught alot of flack from the statement he made about why he has tax issues. So much so, that he wanted to release a video to clear the air. Check out what he had to say.......
I don't deny the fact that the media manipulates quotes to their own liking. However, I do think Meth needs to step up and accept responsibility here. The media did NOT paint him as a pot head, he did that to himself. His music, his acting roles, etc; are all heavily laced with strong weed references and the idea of him being a serious stoner. If an idea is put out there over and over again, people are going to take it as having some type of truth in it. So if he doesn't like being looked at as such, than maybe he should tone down all the weed association a bit. Better yet, maybe he should just pay his freakin' taxes and he wouldn't have to deal with situations like this. Think about it! Rappers need to get their ish together and quick. This is all just starting to become too sad. -MinM
So TMZ reporters caught up with Suge Knight at a gas station. They asked him about the Akon / Detail situation. Peep what he had to say below....
Well isn't that just suspicious as hell. Nobody gave any real answers and he seemed a little rushed to get in the car, once the situation was brought up. I don't see how this fool hasn't been locked up more often, guess money does talk. His whole demeanor just screams guilty and shook. So whoever robbed Detail, is probably going down. I wouldn't put it past Suge to serve them fools up to the cops, just to get folks off his back. He's a very sheisty dude, Akon better watch his back. He might be next. -MinM
We all have seen or at least heard about Pharrell's McDonalds' video in Paris. Now it seems that he flipped out at a Spring Break concert at Emory University. Check the footage below.
I understand that he was trying to secure the stage and stuff, but I think he was wound up a little too tight. I mean it's Spring Break, of course college students are going to be a bit more rowdy and difficult than usual. It's their time to have fun and unwind. In their defense, that security business should have been taken care of before the show. That way, there would have been no issues. I don't know, I love skateboard P, so I really hope this is not the beginning of a break down of sorts. Guess we will just have to keep an eye on him and find out. -MinM
Don't ask why I posted this. I have no clue why, something about the song in itself is semi appealing. And I like Paul Wall, so maybe those two elements came together and caused some type of inspiration. However, after watching this mess, that inspiration quickly disappeared. Click play and see why........
I reported recently that Method Man had been hit by the infamous celeb tax curse problem. He owes about $53,000 in personal income taxes. As a result, his Lincoln Navigator was seized from his Staten Island home.
So I was all geared up to post a touching tribute to T.I., since today was his day of reckoning. Only to find out that he is not going into lockdown just yet, after all. Click the jump for further details.
It has been a while since we have heard anything from this duo. And since in the past, I did alot of coverage about them working on new material, had to bring this to the site. The production here is hot. Strong and low bass, with some guitar, come together to create a very smooth and chill vibe. The hook is fire too, Pimp C does his thing and the repetition is used well. Verses wise, all the rappers ripped it up. Everyone was on point, used the beat nicely, and had good and clever word play. Overall, this is a definite banger, in my opinion. I was surprised, usually with so many people of various personas on one track, things tend to get weak in some areas. The end result being just an ok track. But I guess when you have REAL hip-hop vets at work, they defy the odds. What do you guys think? -MinM
It looks like Suge Knight is getting the blame for the robbery of a producer by the name of Detail, an associate of Akon's. So the story is, around 3am today, five men entered Detail's home with guns, to "collect" a debt owed to Knight.
