*Note: I'm back, did you miss me? Lol, missed ya'll, was on vacation but am now back in business. So sorry for the slow posting, things will get back to normal now though.
Eminem has not been on point lately with his new stuff. However, I heard lots of good buzzing about this track while on vacation. So I decided to check out the video. And it gave me some hope, click play to find out why.
The video was directed by Syndrome and was shot at 3am in Detroit, Michigan. The video takes place in a fictional place called, Popsomp Hills Rehabilitation Center. Eminem takes on the role of his ego Slim Shady and goes on a serious killing spree. He brutally murders the staff of the center. Also, there are scenes of Em tripping out in the woods, a bathtub full of blood, and in an abandoned building of some sort. The theme of the video is driven home by lots of additional blood being splattered all over various places in large amounts. In the end, Eminem wakes up confused in the woods, shirtless, with blood and a bandage on his hand. Which is also how the video begins; bringing on the idea that maybe the whole thing was just a dream of sorts. All this is to come together to reflect the warped mind of a serial killer.
I love this video cause it is reflective of the old school Eminem on a lyrical level. Also, it gives fans the horror fix, that they have been craving from the rapper all these years too. It is a bit on the twisted side but at the same time, it's something different. It brings the song to life quite well and was very creative. I heard that a majority of the new album, falls along the lines of this style. The more serious and clever Eminem. If that is the case, I feel alot better about the upcoming release date. Overall, I'd definitely suggest taking a look at this video. If your not one for horror, at least download the song. -MinM
