C-Murder pleaded no contest in his attempted murder case that took place this (5/27) afternoon. He was on trial for two counts of attempted second degree murder. His plea was part of a bargain and a judge has sentenced him to 10 years as a result. Results coming along this quickly, put things way ahead of schedule. Getting things under way were complicated, as the judge had a hard time selecting a jury. Most of the potential jurors were very familiar with C-Murder, causing the selection process to have to be extended. As a reminder C-Murder is on trial for a shooting that took place in 2001 at a club. He was sentenced once and found guilty but got a retrial. His retrial was a result of the mishandling of witnesses in the first case. His formal sentencing will take place on August 25, 2009.
Well this is better than the life sentence he was originally working on. Hopefully, he has learned his lesson with all this mess and this will be his last case ever. I wish him nothing but the best and hope that his time and everything plays out as well as possible. -MinM
