So I am sure that everyone has heard some kind of buzz about Alfamega being an informant for the DEA in his past. Records leaked to the internet showing that Alfamega worked with the DEA in 1995 when he was sentenced on federal gun charges. In return for his work, he got time shaved off his own sentence. Well T.I. got word of the information and has supposedly decided to cut all ties with Alfa.
T.I. is not happy about the dishonesty that Alfa displayed in regards to his past. Apparently T.I. and the other Grand Hustle associates had no idea about Alfamega's past "occupation." Here is what T.I. had to say:
"Even though all of our artists and employees are asked by us to be honest and open about their past history at no time did Alfa disclose to me or Grand Hustle what has now appeared in the media. He essentially deceived us by failing to fully disclose the truth about his past and there is no place in our organization for dishonest and misleading behavior. As I've always said, you must take responsibility for your own actions, we at Grand Hustle do not support or condone blaming others for our own mistakes. I hope and pray to god bless his financial plans but I do not foresee me or my company playing the role of his personal or professional business." -File Factory
No word has been heard from Alfamega yet, in regards to this situation. As further details become available, I will post updates.
Alot of people are giving T.I. crap for letting Alfamega go. I don't get why it is such a big deal. T.I. cooperated to honor his friend, Alfa snitched just to be doing something. Also, Alfa couldn't rap to save his life. He wasn't doing Grand Hustle any favors at all. I guarantee his album would have flopped and T.I. would have just lost money. He can afford it, but why waste time on a lost cause? Oh well, it is what it is. Idk why rappers keep trying to hide they pasts, the public always finds out sooner or later. Might as well just keep it real, up front. Things would go so much smoother. -MinM
