Rapper Willy Northpole, a Ludacris associate has had his video banned from BET. The video is called "#1 Side Chick" and features Bobby Valentino. The video's concept is basically the showing of Willy dating two different females. One, who really has his back and is down for him. And the other who seems to just be down for his money and the material things he can do for her.
Apparently, BET thinks this concept is too controversial. They think Willy's juggling of the two women is inappropriate material for the video. Northpole and his camp are not angry necessarily, they just feel wronged because the network has shown worse videos with more controversial themes. In reports, they cite videos like: "Every Girl" and "Best I Ever Had," as being way more offensive then their project. Northpole though not angry is not going down without a fight. He is campaigning via his Twitter account to have BET reconsider their decision. On a positive note, reports state that the video is getting heavy rotation on everyone's other favorite network, MTV. Which the rapper is very greatful for. At this time, their has been no further info released about this situation. But peep the video below and let me know what you think?

I think that BET is full of sh--t! Ain't a damn thing wrong with this video. The song is not all that but content wise, the video is just fine. In fact, I think the video is done very tastefully. It could have gone in so many other directions. The way they were talking, I thought it was a potential uncut joint or something. Everyone always talking about how degrading rappers' videos are. Now we have a decent one, and ya'll gone shut it down?! Give me a break, BET needs to quit it! If you want to help Northpole out and join in his fight, check out his Twitter page: @WillyNorthpole. Though if I was him, I wouldn't even want them to play my video now, I'd just tell them where they could go. Good luck Willy, smh! -MinM
