Guess since their rap careers are about completely finished, the members of G-Unit have taken to the big screen. The trio is slated to appear in the new Harrison Ford film, Morning Glory.
Their roles have not been clarified but word has been out over the past few days that they have started shooting scenes for the movie. The movie is about a morning news show that is having a hard time increasing it's ratings. An upcoming news producer steps in to try and save the show and must deal with the two fighting anchors. Other actors included in the film are: Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Goldblum, and more. Filming is taking place in New York City and the movie is scheduled for a 2010 Summer release. It has been dubbed a comedy. This will be one of two film projects for group leader 50 Cent. He is also working on a remake of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde. No further information is available at this time about the film. If anything of interest comes up, I'll report back.
I hope their role is minor, cause I don't see much acting ability in any of the members of G-Unit. And from the sounds of the plot and other cast line up, the trio is way out of their element on this one. Someone must have owed 50 a favor or something. And why the hell do they keep tapping 50's a** for movies?! He CAN'T act people, not even a tiny little bit! Or did I miss something here? Somebody please explain to me his appeal as far as acting goes. Maybe then, it won't bother me so much to see him constantly doing films. Anyways, this doesn't really sound like my cup of tea. So I guess in the end, I could care less if G-unit messes it up. I just thought it was interesting that they were involved in something like this. -MinM
