"Bedrock"
This song has been getting a lot of praise on the net, so I decided to check it out. And I have to say, I don't get what all the fuss is about. The production is alright, could be better. It has a light bass, some soft instrument sounds, and a chill vibe going on. The hook is solid, Lloyd's vocals are nice. However, I think the lyrics are a bit on the corny side. "Ooh baby, I be stuck to you like glue baby. Want to spend it all on you baby. My room is the G Spot, call me Mr. Flintstone, I can make your bed rock," weak as hell right? Doesn't do much for me either. The verses are just okay too, nothing to get excited about or anything. Everybody just brought average rhymes, very little creativity, and simple deliveries. It was all just very forgettable. And I'm very disappointed in Drake and Nicki Minaj, I expect the most from them out of everybody. In the end, I'd say this is not worth all the hype. It for sure doesn't contain any of the catchy/guilty pleasure elements of the first Young Money mega hit, "Every Girl." If they want to stick around for a while, they gone need to step their game way up. But as always, please peep the track for yourselves and make that final decision. Also, feel free to comment and let us know what you think. -MinM
