Twista and a few other rappers are hitting the road for an upcoming venture called, The Stimulus Tour. The tour is basically a series of affordable concerts and speaking events geared towards the youth. The speaking events will be about Twista and company encouraging the youth to make smart choices in life and pursue a higher education. The youth who attend the speaking events will be treated to free tickets to the concerts in their city. Twista states that he wanted to do the tour because he wants the youth to know that they haven't been forgotten. He feels the youth tend to get overlooked in these times of struggle and that they feel the impact just as much as adults do. The tour kicks off in late November and will cover several cities including: Detroit, Kansas City, Columbus, and more. The other rappers billed for the tour include Dorrough and Playaz Circle. The dates haven't been confirmed as of yet. Any more important info drops, I'll be back with an update.
I think this is a great look and a really admirable venture. I do agree that the youth these days do need someone to reach out and acknowledge them. Much love to the rappers who are on board with this already. I just wish some more big named/relevant rappers were participating. I think they would have more of an impact than somebody like Dorrough. But it is what it is, can't force people to care or take part in things. I wish Twista and company nothing but the best and hope that they really get through to some of the young ones out there. -MinM
