Been a while since I heard anything from Redman, so I thought I'd check out this leak. It's supposedly going to be the first single off of his new album, Reggie Noble "O" 9 1/2. The production here is alright, doesn't really move me or anything though. It has a strong bass, some drum like sounds, and an intense vibe to it. I feel like it's missing a little something; just can't quite figure out what. The hook is wack, the lyrics are just poorly done. Also, I'm not crazy about the chipmunk like vocals on the repeat of the hook either. The verses are bearable, making the track a little better. Red has a consistent flow, a few decent metaphors, and a clear/sharp delivery. However, he did not bring his best to this track. I have heard him spit way more clever and comical lines then what he drops here. Overall, I find this single to be very disappointing. I just think that Red is capable of giving us a higher quality song. If this is his first single, I hope he has something amazing planned for the second. Cause I feel he certainly gone need it, if he wants to see any album sales. But hey don't take my word for it. Listen for yourself and be the ultimate judge. -MinM
