Though he has retired from the spotlight and decided to focus on shaping up his rap record label Katt Pack Records, trouble still has found a way to reach beloved comedian Katt Williams. Apparently, the comedian was arrested for burglary and criminal trespassing just outside of Atlanta, Georgia overnight.
A deputy has confirmed that the comedian still remains in custody as of this morning. Other than that, details regarding the incident are being kept tightly under wraps. This comes about one year after Katt's last run in with the law. Last year in New York City prior to doing a show, Katt was pulled over for driving a car with no license plates. When his vehicle was searched, the cops also found a gun and arrested Katt and his crew. The charges against him were ultimately dropped due to the inability to prove things beyond a reasonable doubt. Around this same time, Katt also went through the infamous mental break down incident due to exhaustion. At the end of all of that, he went on to announce his retirement from doing stand up comedy. Katt is scheduled for an arraignment today, at which time a court official is expected to set a bond amount for the comedian's release. When more details become available, I'll return with an update.
I hate to hear about Katt doing poorly, I'm a huge fan of his. I'm betting this burglary incident is just a huge misunderstanding though. He has money, so he has no reason to be out there bad like that. On another note, I didn't realize how much he went through last year. If he made it through all that, I'm sure he can survive this too. Stay tuned, I'm definitely going to keep a close eye on this one. -MinM
