Snoop Dogg has hooked up with UK company VoiceSkins.Com for a new product. That product is a GPS celebrity voice where Snoop does the vocals himself. It will be available to the users of the TomTom navigation system. Snoop plans to bring a hip-hop flare to the system with a style called, "Snoop Speak." In other words, users will be guided through their surroundings by Snoop in what has become his trademark way of speaking. In addition to the unique brand of directions giving, the system will also come with a points of interest feature. The feature is a list of Snoop's favorite locations in the Los Angeles area. Reps from the navigation company are excited to be working with Snoop. They said they were drawn to the idea due to Snoop's distinctive voice and his clever way with words. Snoop's VoiceSkin is available for download now. And, keep in mind that Snoop Dogg's Malice-N-Wonderland hits retailers on December 8, 2009. It will be just in time for the Christmas holiday.
This sounds like a cool product. However, I am not sure Snoop would be the best person to get directions from. He takes his little language thing a bit far sometimes and it's hard to understand what he's saying. It probably makes driving more interesting though. Oh well, I just thought this would be something different to post on the site. Any thoughts? -MinM
