Yesterday(11/30), The New Orleans Police Department arrested six men. The men were protesting to free Lil Boosie and Lil Wayne from their prison sentences. Reports say that off duty police officers caught the men spray painting the words "Free Lil Wayne" on the side of a building.
On another street, the men placed a banner with the same message and added Lil Boosie's name to the mix. And to top it all off, the men used police barricades and trash cans to stop traffic while they briefly marched and protested. When officers arrived, the men fled the scene. A brief chase occurred but in the end, all six men were captured. The men have been charged with the following: disturbing the peace, resisting arrest by flight, and criminal damage to property. As a reminder, Boosie was sentenced to four years for violating probation due to being caught with marijuana and a gun. And Wayne is being sentenced sometime in December or January for being caught with an illegal weapon in New York back in 2007.
These are some serious fans. I have love for a lot of artists, on a stan level even. But I do not think I'd be doing all this for any of them. I mean the sentences are light and they screwed up. I mean you break the law, you get punished. Celebs are no exception. They get way lighter sentences but still they have to suffer consequences. Well these six guys have even more of a connection with their favorite rappers now. They all about to do some time. Hope it was worth it. -MinM
