Lloyd Banks is in the process of being released from the Canadian jail that he landed himself in this past weekend. He was arrested for allegedly assaulting a club promoter. He is being released on $50,000 bail for his role in the assault. He will be held at the Maple Hurst Correctional Complex in protective custody, until all the loose ends involved in his release are tied up. As a reminder, Banks is in a dispute with a promoter over his lack of payment for a show he was supposed to do. Reports say that Banks was late to the show and then only did one song, so the promoter refused to pay the rapper. As a result, the rapper and three of his associates attacked the promoter. The assault went from the club where Banks was supposed to perform, to the hotel where the promoter was staying. After the assault, the four men held the promoter against his will in the hotel room for about an hour. The attack resulted in their arrest and the charges of: assault, robbery, and forced confinement. At this time, these are the only details that have emerged. I will continue to follow the story and keep readers up to date though.
I still think this was ridiculous and that Banks was completely at fault here. If he wanted to get paid, he should have handled his business the right way, bottom line. I say throw his a** in for about a year too. Rappers need to start learning how to act like they got some sense. Especially, the more irrelevant ones like Banks. -MinM
