Well the new year just started and the drama is already unfolding in the Hip-Hop community. Widely popular Atlanta producer Shawty Redd has turned himself in for murder, according to reports. Apparently, Redd got into an argument of sorts with an unknown male at his home on New Years Day. Things got escalated and the unknown male threatened the producer. Redd then proceeded to draw his firearm and shoot the male to death. Right after the shooting took place, Redd turn himself over to the Henry County Police. Redd is currently in custody awaiting arraignment and no bond has been set. It looks like he will be charged with first degree murder. Redd has worked with several big names in the game over the past decade. Amongst the artists he worked with are: Young Jeezy, Snoop Dogg, and Gucci Mane. No further details about the incident have dropped at this time. I'll continue to follow the story and update accordingly though.
This is one hell of a way to kick off the new year. I'm sure whatever they were arguing about was not that damn serious. At least he was man enough to turn himself in though, I guess. Idk, these cats gone learn one day that this gangsta ish ain't where it's at. Smh, oh well, it is what it is. -MinM
