Queen Latifah and Common are headed to the big screen together in a new sports themed romantic comedy. Latifah stars as Leslie Wright, a physical therapist, who seems to have trouble in the romance department. She ends up landing a gig working for an NBA player by the name of Scott McKnight (Common). One thing leads to another and she ends up falling for McKnight. He however, seems more interested in her friend Morgan, who is played by actress Paula Patton. And Morgan just so happens to have dreams of becoming an NBA trophy wife. Wright now must work to get McKnight to forget about Morgan and instead see her as the woman of his dreams. Along with working on some major career choices. That's the basics of the story line, as the characters take viewers on a journey of love, via the world of sports. The film is slated to hit theaters May 14, 2010. Until then, check out the trailer below...
This movie looks extra cute. I love Latifah and Common is turning out to be a pretty good actor as well. And I'm a basketball fan. So this is definitely on my must see list. Anyone else have any thoughts? Feel free to drop a line in the comments section. -MinM
