Time to put the spotlight on another new artist. So readers meet Slip N Slide Records newest sensation, Swazy Baby. Swazy is a young cat, entering the Hip-Hop game from Cordele, Georgia. His background story is an all too familiar one.

Kanye West is finally back in the game and he's creating quite a wave on the beginning of this Memorial Day weekend. Also, as promised he has left the autotune behind. But does he still got it? The production here is quality, with some very unique components to it. The track opens with some vocals doing a loud type of chant and a clapping sound. Then the vocals and clapping are joined by a strong bass line. The overall feel of the production, is a very intense one. Perfect fit for a Kanye West track though. The hook is decent, pretty simple on a lyrical level, but it works. The only complaint is that the vocals tend to drown out Ye's voice, making the hook a little hard to understand. The vocals could be dialed back a bit and still contribute to the intensity of the production. In fact, the vocals need to be dialed down for the whole track, as I feel they distract during the verses as well. Despite the small distraction, the verses are solid. Ye brings skillful rhymes laced with his signature angry, cocky, and unapologetic nature. He could have came with stronger lyrics and more clever metaphors, but this was a sufficient effort. Overall, this is a decent track. The production could use a little tweaking and I'd have liked to heard more from Dwele. However, those things don't take anything away from this single. "Fresh I Stay (Part 2)"

I saw this and decided to see if Flo Rida's sad little love affair with R&B songstress Brandy, had impacted his rapping at all. It appears from this track, that he hasn't lost his touch one bit. This coming from someone who is not real big on Flo, in the first place. The production here is hot. It has a strong bass line, a light deejay mixing sound, and an uptempo pace at work. The hook is a good look too, has unique sounding vocals going on. The lyrics are on point, they are simple in nature and very catchy. Definitely one of those get stuck in your head type numbers. The verses don't disappoint either, even Lil Wayne was on top of his game on this one. Flo knocks out the first verse, Weezy comes in on the second, and Flo finishes things off. Though both rappers had solid deliveries and well put together rhymes, Weezy did the best out of the two. "Hey Mike stop the beat. Hear the money talk and it talking bout me. White boy fresh, skinny a** pants. Boy I ball hard, like scouts in the stands," not mind blowing, but still some slick lines right? Overall, I'd say this track is definitely one to bump in the ride while your cruising this Summer. However, it would probably be best if you click that link and check it out for yourself. Female Rapper Trina has decided to try and branch out beyond the world of Hip-Hop. She has decided to do so, by joining the world of beauty. The rapper is planning to release her own cosmetics line. The line will be called Amazin' Cosmetics and is scheduled to be released in June.

News: Konvict Music rapper Dolla's murderer found not guilty

Around this time last year Konvict Music rapper Dolla, was murdered in a California shopping center. He was murdered by an Atlanta native named Aubrey Berry, after an altercation that took place between the two men. Recently, Berry went to trial in Los Angeles for Dolla's murder. After about a week long trial and two days of jury deliberation, Berry was acquitted of the murder charges.

Happy Born Day B.I.G. (Rest In Peace)

On this day 38yrs ago, one of the biggest names in the Hip-Hop industry was born. That person was The Notorious B.I.G. His status amongst the greats is something that will be debated until the end of time. However, no one can ever refute the fact that the rapper and his music made a huge impact on the industry and that things will never be the same without him. For leaving a legacy like that, you gotta show him some respect. So on behalf of The Breezy Effect, HAPPY BIRTHDAY B.I.G., may you rest in peace! News: Ryan Phillippe Hip-Hop's Next Big Producer?

Move over Swizz Beatz, watch out Timbaland, Ryan Phillippe is coming for your producer titles. That's right, actor Ryan Phillippe is making waves, as he has started discussing his desire to become a Hip-Hop producer. This isn't just some random spur of the moment thing either. Phillippe reported to Women's Health magazine that he has been rapping since he was a kid. He is pretty confident in his rap abilities too. He says that he can truly "spit" and can sound like any one from Lil Wayne to Ludacris. His aim is to be able to produce a Hip-Hop artist sometime in the near future. He says Hip-Hop has always been a passion of his and that can also be traced back to his youth. He has stated that he is a long time fan of Biggie Smalls and Jay Z and loves some of the newer cats like Drake too. There has been no definite word on when Phillippe plans to start this new Hip-Hop venture, but I will keep an eye out for future developments with this story. 

Let me first say that I love Ryan Phillippe. I think he is a gorgeous man and skillful actor. With that said, I do not see him doing anything good for the Hip-Hop industry. I think he is taking his love for the genre to an unnecessary level. I've never heard him rap and he is a fan of some pretty solid rappers, so I could just be being judgmental. But this just doesn't seem like a good fit to me. Then again, I just saw Idris Elba make his rap debut and am still trying to shake the horror, lol. Prison life is not being so kind to rapper X-Raided. The rapper was recently stabbed during a prison riot, by three of his fellow inmates. The incident took place over a refusal by X-Raided to produce an album for the trio.
