The production here is dope. It contains a strong low bass, a few light sounds sprinkled throughout, and a very chill vibe. The hook is on point as well. Lerix's delivery is pretty creative. The different special effects done on his vocals was a great idea. Definitely made the hook more interesting. Also, the lyrics have a strong appeal to them. They are the kind that easily get stuck in your head which is most likely due to the repetition. "As the days go by, drinks poured high. Got my mind floating, you could see me in the sky. Slowly going up, I aint ever coming down. Slowly going up, I aint ever coming down;" that's ill, right? The verses are hot too. Lerix has a calm cool delivery and well put together rhymes. He does a great job of accomplishing his intended goal. Which was to pay tribute to his beloved pastime of drinking. "Whiskey in the Winter. Gin & Tonic Summers. Wine with my dinner and they complement each other. I think you had enough, that's the line I hear frequently. Let me be alone so I can nurse my habits peacefully. Alcoholic maybe, whatever the label. You looking to grab a drink, you better believe I'm willing and able. Time moves fast, but the liquor moves it slower. I'm trying to live forever, so I separate the sober;" that's some slick word play. Overall, this track is a banger. Certainly makes Lerix seem like the perfect drinking buddy. But as always, readers are encouraged to spin the track for themselves. Be sure to keep an eye on the site as well. This track comes from Lerix's upcoming project Dinner With Jack Donaghy. There is no official release date for the EP, but more hot singles are slated to drop in the future. -MinM
