KEVIN "FIYAH" CHESTNUT
Kevin Chestnut's journey into writing was a bit different than most of
his peers. Though he excelled in English and writing courses in
secondary school, he never wrote for his school newspaper, kept a
journal, read many books, or magazines. Instead, his passion for
Hip-Hop is what fueled his drive to write. In fact, he didn't even
know what a blog was, let alone considered writing one, until April of
2006.
Soon thereafter he began writing various critiques and reviews of
Hip-Hop on his MySpace and Facebook blogs. Encouraged by positive
feedback from friends and family, he decided he wanted to take his
writing to the next level by starting his own website.
In fall of 2007 Kevin founded FiyahMuZik.com, which covers a range of
topics including sports, politics, and current events, but is mainly
dedicated to his love of music. He is also currently a contributor to
former SOHH.com blog writer Crystal Williams' new website
TheBreezyEffect.com... where he brings nothing but the rawness!
