It's no secret that Hip-Hop's two favorite smokers Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa are pals. The duo have decided to capitalize on their friendship and come together for what they have dubbed a "buddy film." The film is entitled Mac And Devin Go To High School. While the film is a big deal, what really has Hip-Hop heads buzzing is the upcoming soundtrack. Snoop and Wiz are doing the soundtrack together as a collaborative album. Additionally, the two are hitting the road on a six city promo tour called The High School Tour. The soundtrack will hit retailers everywhere on December 13, right in time for Christmas. The first single from the collabo project is "Young, Wild, & Free" and it features another fan favorite Bruno Mars. The track was produced by The Smeezingtons and a behind the scenes look at the video hit the web last week. The video was directed by Dylan Brown in Los Angeles. Brown is also directing the film. Snoop and Wiz definitely seem to be having a ball as they turn their ordinary 9-5 into one big party. Check it out below ....
The full video is slated to drop this week, so keep an eye out for it. And be sure to support the fellas and cop that soundtrack on December 13 too.
I love Snoop and Wiz is alright in my book, so I'm curious to see how this all turns out. I know Snoop can act but it will be interesting to see Wiz do his thing. And the soundtrack definitely has promise because both rappers have talent, no question. This brings to mind How High, the Redman and Method Man movie/soundtrack from back in 2001. Anyone else care to speak on this? Drop a line or two in the comments section. -MinM
